We’re Hiring: Pediatric Licensed Practical Nurse
CareSynq Home Healthcare is looking for a caring and experienced nurse to provide nursing support at a nursery for children aged 45 days to 5 years.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Monitor children’s health and identify signs of illness, injury or distress.
* Provide first aid and respond to emergencies, including infant and child CPR, within professional training and nursery procedures.
* Support safe infant care, including feeding, hygiene and safe sleep practices, in coordination with nursery staff.
* Recognise and respond promptly to choking in infants and young children, providing age-appropriate choking first aid and CPR within professional training, and activating emergency medical services when required.
* Administer prescribed medication according to documented instructions, required consent and nursery policies.
* Maintain accurate health records, medication logs and incident reports.
* Monitor allergies and individual care plans, and communicate relevant precautions to staff.
* Follow infection prevention procedures and support appropriate management of unwell children.
* Communicate health concerns promptly to parents and nursery management.
* Guide staff on hand hygiene, infection prevention and child health and safety.
* Maintain first-aid supplies and ensure emergency equipment is ready for use.
* Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain children’s privacy and confidentiality.
Candidate Requirements
* Recognised nursing qualification.
* Valid nursing licence or eligibility accepted by the relevant health authority for the nursery location.
* Experience in nursery, paediatric or infant nursing preferred.
* Current BLS certification; infant and child CPR training required.
* Strong communication skills and a calm, patient and caring approach.
* Ability to manage emergencies and work closely with teachers, caregivers and parents.
